The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA), in collaboration with the Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPWT), is beginning the construction phase of the MD 45 (York Road) Roadway Improvements and Water Main Replacement Project in Towson. The 0.5-mile project extends along York Road from Newell Avenue to the Towson Roundabout at E. Joppa Road and MD 146 (Dulaney Valley Road).
The purpose of the joint project is to replace the county water main under York Road; upgrade the roadway, sidewalks, driveway entrances, drainage inlets, and pipes along 0.5-mile of York Road to improve the highway; address safety traffic operations; and enhance pedestrian accommodations and bicycle connections.
A newsletter will be mailed to property owners in the vicinity of the project limits and additional information will be posted online on the SHA Project Portal.
