A message from the Food for Thought program:
There are approximately 3,000 children in Baltimore County Public Schools who are classified as homeless and in desperate need. There are 50,000 additional children whose poverty qualifies them for free and reduced meals (FARM) at school.
These food-insecure children often have learning difficulties, behavioral challenges, and reduced social resources for future success. In the face of this quiet tragedy, you can change the future for these children.
Food for Thought Baltimore County invites you to join us for a “Brunch & Learn” workshop highlighting a simple way for you and your organization to help improve the chances of a successful future for so many children, simply through providing supplemental weekend nourishment in backpacks.
